I had the privilege of talking one-on-one with a former Fortune 500 CEO for over one hour. My questions were geared toward \u201chow\u201d you think to make decisions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

His answer?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Simplify and prioritize.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

What are the most important things you must get right to succeed?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Most, like myself, may write down 10 things or more. Choose the top two and delegate or delete the other 8. Focus on those top two.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

When thinking of your \u201ctop twos,\u201d there are different areas.<\/span><\/p>

In the book, 5 Types of Wealth by Sahill Bloom, the types are:<\/span><\/p>

  1. Time<\/span><\/li>
  2. Social<\/span><\/li>
  3. Mental<\/span><\/li>
  4. Physical<\/span><\/li>
  5. Financial<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

    Let\u2019s discuss Time Wealth.<\/span><\/p>

    Time spent with<\/span> friends, family, and children drops<\/b> dramatically as we age.<\/span><\/p>

    Time spent with your <\/span>spouse, work, and alone goes up<\/b> as you age.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

    The takeaway is that you should cherish your moments with your friends, family, and children. They don’t last long enough.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

    Choose VERY CAREFULLY the type of work you do and who you do it with. You spend a lot of time here.<\/span><\/p>

    The MOST IMPORTANT decision you can make is who you choose to spend your life with.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>

    There is a big difference between loneliness and solitude. You can be alone and not feel lonely. Loneliness is a loss of connection that leads to pain. Solitude is connecting with yourself, which leads to emotional recharge.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
